Xbox Game Pass users have been warned to “beware” of the massive new Day One game added to the subscription service. One of the big draws of Xbox Game Pass compared to PlayStation Plus isn’t its library of games. The PS Plus library is arguably much more impressive than the Xbox Game Pass library. However, Xbox Game Pass offers games on day one at a much higher frequency, offering a lot of savings potential for those who typically buy games at launch.

With this goal in mind, a big Xbox Game Pass Day One game was released this week that is sure to entice many subscribers to download it. That said, Xbox fans should beware of some issues with the game.
For those who missed it, the highly anticipated Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl was released this week on November 20th. Unfortunately, GSC Game World’s new game has some significant performance and technical issues. A quick glance at the game’s 78 on Metacritic or the fact that it sold a million copies in 24 hours may not indicate much, but it does.
That’s why users on the Xbox Game Pass Reddit page have been warned about these issues. Fortunately, many of these issues can be resolved with future updates, but those on Xbox Game Pass who want to try out Stalker 2 may want to give it a few weeks before doing so. By then, many of the game’s launch issues should be resolved.
“Fans praise a game for the idea of what it could one day become, but the state of the game is rough right now, warns another fan. “I cannot in good faith blindly recommend a game just because I am a fan. Stalker 2 needs more time.”
While Stalker 2 on Xbox consoles doesn’t run as bad as it does on PC, there are still a lot of inconsistencies and issues, especially on Xbox Series S. While some users on Xbox are reporting minimal issues, others are reporting significant issues. And this is always the case with performance and technical issues, they often manifest randomly.
